Monthly Theme from Sophistique Noir: Bows

I was really excited when I found out the theme for this month, but I've had a pretty scatter-brained day so my contribution is only small, another goth in the office outfit:

What I'm wearing:
Blouse: H&M
Pinifore dress: Miss Selfridge
Bow: From a lolita dress I brought for graduation

  3. This is great example of corp goth-- it's not so under done, like I see so many times.

    1. Thanks! I've been known to overdo it a litle more than this, but my office is very casual so I try not to! It looks odd when everyone else is in jeans!

  4. That dress is awesome! I've been trying to figure out how to sew myself something like that for school. : )

    1. Thank you =]
I think you could easilyadapt a pleated skirt pattern by adding a square bib (with bust darts) and straps if you wanted to make a dress this this.
I might have a go at sewing one myself actually; I'd like one in dark grey too, maybe some lace trim...

  5. Ooh, the bow is the PERFECT touch for that look. It compliments the dress beautifully, and takes the corporate edge off of the tailored blouse. Very lovely combination!
